Sixth grade prime time is designed to help you become a better person. In this class we will improve on your study skills, vocabulary, get you organized for your classes, develop personal character qualities, establish short and long term goals, and allow you to become a more successful person. You will also be involved in many science related activities such as Salmon in the Classroom, Make-Makey, Coding, Electricity, Engineering and Design throughout the school year.
Class Rules: (Same as KMS Expectations) Know Them!!!
Weekly Grading
Current Events: Taken from your own personal experiences, from the newspaper, or magazines. You are expected to participate in these classroom discussions.
Agenda Check: I check for completeness, accuracy, and neatness. This is your key to a successful school year. Get in the habit of doing it correctly NOW!!!!
Locker Check: You are expected to keep your locker organized and free of clutter and trash.
Character Education/Study Skills: Weekly lessons to help you become a better person.
Responsibility: You are expected to come to primetime prepared for class. This includes notebooks, pencil or pen, agenda book, textbooks from other classes, homework, and AR book.
Reading: The class will be reading from various novels each marking period. There will be both written and class discussion about each novel. You will also be responsible for having a library book to read every day and record information on your reading log.
Science and Technology Integration- You will be very involved in developing your science, engineering, and technology skills through a wide variety of hands on activities.
